Overcoming Barriers to Care
Laxmi’s recovery was complicated by a previous difficult hospital experience, making emotional support as vital as medical treatment. The CHIP-T field team coordinated her admission and provided continuous reassurance throughout her stay.
Initially unable to walk and requiring significant physical assistance due to the severity of the infection, she showed remarkable progress within just one week of intensive medical care and dressing.
Today, Laxmi is able to stand independently, marking a successful return to mobility and a dignified life for a vital member of her community.
